PROGRAMA GLA II GREEN LIVELIHOODS ALLIANCE<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The GLA II (Green Livelihoods Alliance) Program promotes inclusive and sustainable management of the territories of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) and Protected Area Management Committees in the greater Chiquitan\u00eda-Chaco, Pantanal, and Southern Amazon regions. It optimizes actions to ensure that Indigenous territories, protected areas, and municipalities participate in processes of effective protection, sustainable governance, forest management, and the preservation of their livelihoods. GLA II aims to encourage governments to develop and implement policies that respect forests, human rights, the rights of IPLCs and women, and to empower stakeholders to defend their territories.<\/p>

Se proyecta que los PICL participen de los procesos inclusivos de toma de decisiones sobre el modelo de desarrollo y pol\u00edticas que afectan los ecosistemas y derechos de los pueblos y comunidades, y, junto con los Comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n y \u00e1reas protegidas, posicionen favorablemente demandas para que gobiernos locales reconozcan y apoyen el manejo sostenible de su territorio, realizando en conjunto seguimiento\/monitoreo a actividades extractivas que afectan la regi\u00f3n; adem\u00e1s, que reivindiquen sus derechos constitucionalizados referidos al acceso, uso y protecci\u00f3n de sus territorios y medios de vida.<\/p>

GLA II, promueve que los PICL sean reconocidos por instancias internacionales como protectores de bosques y clima global, y que las redes de organizaciones de la sociedad civil, embajadas y organismos internacionales, responden con rapidez a las emergencias de los DDHH-Ambientales de Bolivia.<\/p>

Desde el a\u00f1o 2018, la Asociaci\u00f3n\u00a0para la Conservaci\u00f3n, Investigaci\u00f3n de la Biodiversidad y el Desarrollo Sostenible \u2013 SAVIA, viene implementando acciones que promueven e impulsan los objetivos propuestos en el marco del Programa GLA II, trabajando con actores locales, como autoridades y lideresas, llevando adelante procesos que aportan a reducir los impactos a la biodiversidad y al bien com\u00fan de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
