Savia's initiative to support ACGAPCHCHPA aims to promote the participation of local decision-makers in strengthening local environmental governance focused on the defense, protection, and conservation of the environment and natural resources. Through the Association, spaces are created for the exchange of experiences and debates to foster joint actions for territorial defense. Savia has also provided technical and legal support for the consolidation of the bylaws of member Protected Area Committees, among other identified or requested advisory services.<\/p>

Desde la Asociaci\u00f3n, se ha apoyado a mujeres de municipios y comunidades de las zonas que se trabaja en torno a las \u00e1reas protegidas, escuchando sus necesidades y gui\u00e1ndolas en sus interrogantes. Adem\u00e1s de realizar actividades para fomentar y fortalecer el empoderamiento y liderazgo femenino, habi\u00e9ndose percibido una participaci\u00f3n importante cada vez m\u00e1s num\u00e9rica de mujeres en las acciones y resultados sin\u00e9rgicos, la relevancia de algunas de ellas en cargos jer\u00e1rquicos como Presidentas de los Comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n y defensoras aguerridas de las \u00e1reas protegidas.<\/p>

Antecedentes de la Asociaci\u00f3n.<\/b><\/p>

La Asociaci\u00f3n de Comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n de \u00c1reas Protegidas del Chaco, Chiquitan\u00eda, Pantanal y Amazonia Sur (CGAPCHCHPA) fue creada en noviembre del 2013; relanzada y reestructurada en noviembre del 2017 con apoyo de SAVIA\/Proyecto GLA I. Posteriormente, para continuidad de acciones, se dio apoyo a trav\u00e9s del Proyecto ECCOS\/UE, siguiendo su curso como proceso complementario en el marco del Proyecto GLA II que implementa SAVIA.<\/p>

\u00c1reas Protegidas miembros de la Asociaci\u00f3n.<\/b><\/p>

La Asociaci\u00f3n congrega a los miembros de los Comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n de 12 \u00e1reas protegidas del Dpto. de Santa Cruz, cuales se dividen en cuatro \u00e1reas protegidas nacionales, un \u00e1rea protegida departamental, un \u00e1rea protegida del Gobierno Aut\u00f3nomo Ind\u00edgena Guaran\u00ed Charagua Iyambae y seis \u00e1reas protegidas municipales:<\/p>
