GUARASUWE CHILDREN WHO ARE INSPIRED TO PROTECT THEIR MONTH: THE HOME OF THE "TIER"ยซ
Through an Environmental Education Day, students from the Bella Vista Educational Unit learned about the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park and the value of the fauna that inhabits it.
The activity focused on teaching and inspiring children about the importance of conserving their Protected Area and its relationship with the jaguar, considering the need to reinforce in them the value that this species implies for the balance of the forest, and, because of the transgenerational importance that children are for their own future, because they are the ones who will be in charge of their forests and their territory, in this case the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park.
It should be noted that the blood of the ethnic group runs through the veins of the inhabitants of this town. #Guarasuwe o #Pausernas, which is an indigenous people who live along the Itรฉnez River (Bolivia) or Guaporรฉ River (Brazil), through the departments of Beni and Santa Cruz in our country.
It should also be added that the name Pauserna derives from the abundance of the "pao cerne" tree in the area where they live, a natural space that stands out for the beauty of the landscape and the richness in #biodiversity.
The SAVIA Association, has been promoting the conservation of ecosystems and key species such as the Jaguar through the Programs ECCOS and the Project Operation Jaguar Bolivia From the Dutch Committee of the IUCN NL, on this occasion actions were carried out with the participation of the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park.
