Within the framework of the project, specialized legal advice was provided to members of the protected area management committees, as a continuation of the legal analysis sessions held in conjunction with DICOPAN. This support facilitated a participatory approach to drafting and adapting the internal regulations of the management committees for the Santa Cruz La Vieja (municipality of San José de Chiquitos), Laguna Concepción (municipality of Pailón), Valle Tucabaca (municipality of Roboré), and San Rafael (municipality of San Rafael) protected areas. The regulations were developed collaboratively based on an applicability model derived from the Departmental Law No. 313, Incorporating technical, regulatory, and operational criteria tailored to the local context. As a result of this process, the committees of Santa Cruz La Vieja, Laguna Concepción, and Valle Tucabaca achieved the approval of their internal regulations by the Santa Cruz Departmental Government, representing a significant step forward in their institutionalization and the strengthening of protected area management.
