“ISOSEÑOS FOR THEIR TERRITORY”

Young Guarani Environmental Multipliers from Cuarirenda strengthened the learning acquired in the Training Workshop that took place in that Community a month ago.
The actions being promoted within the framework of the Rewilding Project are leading a process to rescue elements of the traditional knowledge of the Isoseño communities about the jaguar or tiger (Yagua in Guarani).
The event provided a space for reflection, proposals, and the exchange of ideas for future community-led activities aimed at strengthening culture and protecting the territory. It also fostered teamwork and leadership, with a view to personal and professional growth.
The action was carried out by the Savia Association in coordination with community authorities, the Charagua District Directorate and the JF Arandiko Educational Unit, initiatives promoted by the IUCN Netherlands Committee (International Union for Conservation of Nature), in order to induce local commitment to protect the natural and cultural wealth in indigenous territories.
