Strengthening Environmental Governance: A Workshop for the Conservation of Natural Heritage

As part of the ongoing effort to strengthen natural heritage management, a key meeting was held on March 28, 2025, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with the participation of the Directorate of Natural Heritage Conservation (DICOPAN), management committees, and partners such as SAVIA and FCBC. This workshop focused on discussing Departmental Decree No. 465 and its application within the framework of Law No. 313, with the aim of strengthening the internal regulations of the Natural Heritage Conservation Units (UCPNs). During the meeting, important agreements were reached to improve inter-institutional coordination and ensure the effective implementation of the legal frameworks. The management committee representatives committed to updating their internal regulations by April 2025.
