Strengthening Environmental Governance: A Workshop for the Conservation of Natural Heritage

In February 2025, artisans from San José de Chiquitos participated in a guided tour led by expert park rangers at the emblematic Santa Cruz La Vieja National Park. This outing not only allowed them to discover the history of the region, but also the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the forest, crucial for the conservation of ecosystems.

A Journey of Learning and Creativity

The participants had the opportunity to explore archaeological sites and identify plant species used in traditional medicine for centuries. The activity offered a unique experience that connected biodiversity with art, inspiring creativity and reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation.

The event was framed within the strengthening of the capacities of women artisans, who can now integrate environmental knowledge into their daily practices and promote the conservation of ecosystems among their communities.
